Duties/Responsibilities
Plan the menu for the weekend with the Weekend Coordinator and the Head Chef Prepare and cook food on Saturday morning Supervise prep and cooking of kitchen volunteers Supervise cleaning of the kitchen at the end of the day Supervisor Head Chef and Weekend Coordinator Location and Schedule Saturday from 8:30am to about 2:30pm Time Commitment One Sunday per month for six hours Skills Needed Experience cooking for larger groups Ability to work creatively from a limited budget and food supplies Understanding of food safety and sanitation procedures Skilled with knives, cutting boards, food preparation, cleaning and menu planning Training Provided Works under the direction of the head chef Benefits Share the love of God by meeting physical and spiritual needs of the poor Opportunity to serve within the community Opportunity to meet new people to create and develop relationships Opportunities for fellowship with other CA members |

Food Prep Team
Duties/Responsibilities
Help bring supplies from the garage to the CA kitchen on Saturday morning Prepare food according to the selected menu, under chef’s direction. Wash and cut/chop fruit and vegetables, Wash and dry dishes, sweep and mop floors Sort and put away pots and pans, Prepare bags for outreach distribution with items like PB & J sandwiches, fruits, food bars, water bottles, etc. Supervisor Weekend Coordinator and Weekend Chef Location and Schedule Saturday from 9am to 1pm in the CA kitchen at 2435 Colorado Blvd. Time Commitment Four hours, one Sunday per month Skills Needed Able to lift heavy items Able to stand, sit, chop and clean Training Provided On the job by Weekend Coordinator and Cook Benefits Share the love of God by meeting physical and spiritual needs of the poor Opportunity to serve within the community Opportunity to meet new people to create and develop relationships Opportunities for fellowship with other CA members |
